How To Make A Coffee Table From Pallets

Here’s The Saw Guy with another pallet project. This coffee table from pallets isnt just your typical coffee table. Using the chevron pattern, this pallet coffee table from Beach Bum Livin is one of the coolest yet, but also, one of the easiest.

Get your short list of tools ready. We are here!

  • Power Planer (not 100% necessary)
  • Table Saw and Circular Saw (can only be done with circular saw)
  • Sawzaw (I highly recommend this one).
  • Hammer and Nails
  • 2-3 in Deck Screws
  • At least 4 pallets
  • 24
  • 44 m 2.4
  • 2-2.4 m 12

1. Disassemble Pallets

Everyone has a favorite (very relative term) way to dismantle pallets. However, if youre not familiar with the process, or are looking for tips, click the link below to check out our guide.

2. Cut Each Plank To 2-

The table will fit more planks to make-up the table top if each board is cut down to 2-

This tutorial shows how each board is planed before being assembled. While this will make the grain stand out, it is not necessary. However, if you do not plane the boards, I suggest sanding a little to clean the wood up (which also helps expose the wood grain).

3. Make 45 Degree Angles

Cut one end of each of the 2-

4. AssembleCut Wood Planks And Attach To Base

To ensure that you have enough, I recommend that you line up your pieces at 45 degrees inside. This will prevent you from getting into a situation where you need to disassemble everything.

You can draw a straight line from the center of the plywood.

After you are confident with your design, attach each board to the plywood using a layer wood glue. Next, use a nail gun (or hammer and finish nails)attaching the board onto the plywood.

5. Cut Away Excess Planks

Use your circular saw to remove any excess wood from each side of the tabletop.

6. Attach 12 Frame

Basically, you want to border the tabletop with 15 cms to cover up the edges.

7. Attach Legs

Attach the base pieces of your pallets to your tabletop by cutting them.

Use your Kreg Jig if you have one. You can use a Kreg Jig if you don’t have one.

Now, just screw your 410 cms into the pallet base pieces.

8. Final Touches

Dudeyoure done! The finishing touches are all up to you. If you want a smooth finish, sand it up. Stain it or something. You can paint it up with chalk paintits.
